JOHN C. GREEN CHAIRMAN & CIO TO VACATE PRIMARY OPERATING ROLE
December 19, 2020
Chairman & CIO John C. Green is stepping down, citing health reasons, amid a push to overhaul management and speed up changes, in areas slowed by the pandemic.
Green, 52, is resigning his post as of December. 30th “for reasons of immediate necessary preventive health care,” GAC said in a statement on Friday.
The company did not name Green’s cause for the immediate decision or a successor. It said its supervisory board will meet on December 23rd to decide on the appointment of a new CIO.
Green is likely to be succeeded by the head of the real estate division, citing people familiar with the matter.
Green, who has been GAC’s CIO since 2007, has a contract through 2024. He has led the company through the 2008 crash and significant growth in three primary areas. Green will assume a senior advisory role as long as immediate health will allow.
